While touring in all kinds of bands and simultaneously being signed to 50x platinum selling hit songwriting music group Red Decibel Music; Joel had lost his way and was headed to a road of self destruction. Suffering from deep mental illness like depression, anxiety, eating disorder, self hate, and suicidal plans, he was on a road of self sabotage that should have led to his death but God did not give up on him.

In late 2015 after a life altering experience with Jesus Christ at Awaken Church in San Diego California, Joel experienced a physical and emotional healing that began a new journey to full restoration from depression, self hate, self sabotage, eating disorder, suicidal thoughts. Joel now has begun to share his journey as he continues to be set free from more and more things through the power and Word of God with a vision to equip anyone with practical and supernatural tools to be set free from things like fear and lies so that everyone can live the life of freedom that Jesus intended us to live!

Joel Piper is now a public speaker, worship leader, multi Billboard Top #10 Charting artist, songwriter, musician, producer of Grammy Winning artists and Hall Of Famers, and an award winning director. He works with all kinds of artists across a broad spectrum of music from producing original songs for the late “Hall of Famer” Glen Freyy of The Eagles, Rita Coolidge, hit Eagles songwriter Jack Tempchin to post rock , and even heavy rock and indie artists.

He has also plays as a live session musician and creative director and has been in live bands with members of The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Christopher Cross, The Knack (My Sherona), Heart, Shakira, Of Mice and Men and many more artists and musicians.

Joel now has a new passion to share everything he has learned in his life’s experiences and raise up leaders as he continues to create new music as well as his Stories ambient worship project, his band Lifelong who has recently partnered with Solid State Records, and is creatively working with many new artists, faith filled houses of worship, to fashion designers, all kinds of national brands, with his work gaining over 30 million streams and counting.
